Description: This three hour workshop will focus on key components of ethics and risk management in mental health practice such as adhering to standards of care & codes of conduct; ensuring professional integrity; and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. Key ethical responsibilities including prioritizing confidentiality, obtaining informed consent, respecting client autonomy, maintaining competence within one's scope of practice, and acting with honesty and truthfulness will be explored. This workshop is geared towards new and practicing mental health providers.
